Rationale of the Program

CAS stands for Creativity Action Service. For the IB Diploma candidate, it completes the core of the IB program together with Theory of Knowledge (TOK) and the Extended Essay (EE). For all Brent Subic Juniors and Seniors, it is a two-year journey of self-discovery and reflection that espouses the holistic development of each individual. CAS is the balance to academic rigor, providing students with opportunities for personal growth through individual and collaborative endeavors. It is the reality in daily practice of both the IB’s and Brent Subic’s educational philosophies, where creative, physical, and service activities become key components for authentic experiential learning.
